Asila Folds

MT-BC, LPMT, MM

Asila Folds is a licensed and nationally board-certified music therapist. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Ithaca College. She completed her Music Therapy Equivalency and Master of Music in Music Therapy at the University of Georgia, where she also received a Certificate in Disability Studies. As part of her clinical training, she completed a six-month internship at Therabeat, Inc. Through her clinical experiences, Asila has worked with clients across the lifespan. Her experience includes providing music therapy services in a variety of settings, including schools, community programs, memory care facilities, and assisted living communities.

Asila’s love for music began at a young age through her involvement with the Young People’s Chorus of New York City. Through performing and traveling internationally, she developed a deep appreciation for the ways music can connect people across cultures and experiences. This passion continues to guide her work as a music therapist, where she values building authentic relationships with clients and creating meaningful opportunities for connection through music.

Outside of work, Asila enjoys crafting, reading, nature walks, and spending time with her dog, Tato.
