Perfect Harmony Health

Impact Report

2024

Who we are

  • Dear Friends,

As I look back on this year, my heart is full of gratitude. Every day, I am inspired by the people who make Perfect Harmony Health what it is—our incredible therapists, staff, volunteers, families, and supporters like you. Together, we’ve created something truly special: a community where music brings hope, healing, and connection.

This year, we’ve witnessed voices growing stronger, confidence blooming, and friendships forming in ways that remind us why we do this work. The stories of resilience and joy from our programs continue to prove that music is more than sound—it’s a lifeline.

Looking ahead, we are excited to build on this momentum, expanding our reach and deepening our impact. We know there are more lives to touch, more barriers to break, and more music to be made. And with you by our side, I know we can do it.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in this mission. Wishing you a season filled with joy, music, and all the things that bring you happiness.

    With gratitude,

    Hannah Rhinehart, LPMT, MT-BC, NMT-F

  • Perfect Harmony Health began as a dream in 2010 when it was founded as The George Center for Music Therapy (GCMT). The George Center Foundation (a 501c3 non-profit) was created to address the financial burden placed on families of individuals with needs. In 2020, after ten years of operating as one of the most successful private practices in the southeast and in the midst of a pandemic, the George Center for Music Therapy officially transitioned to operate only as a non-profit: The George Center Foundation, known today as Perfect Harmony Health.

Our name is a nod to our roots in GCMT, whose tagline was Music. Healthcare. Perfect Harmony. and is a look to our future as a non-profit providing life-changing, innovative services.

As we’ve dug into who we are, we have realized that we have BIG DREAMS for our community. We dream of increasing access to programs, internships, therapy, education, and more! And we believe that those dreams can come true.

We have made education, innovation, and research a cornerstone of who we are and are proud to be the only practice in the Southeast that is 100% composed of neurologic music therapists, many of whom are also fellows.

We believe we have a unique, necessary, and innovative form of therapy that should be accessible to anyone who seeks the service.

We believe in our clients, in their abilities, and not putting a ceiling on their potential but rather providing them with foundations for future success.

We believe we can change the lives of our clients and their families and have programs that improve the transfer of skills from individual therapy to everyday life.

In all of our programming, we KNOW one thing: Our story truly begins and ends with the individuals and families we serve. Our story is ever-changing, focused on the future, and treating the WHOLE person IN HARMONY.

FINANCIAL OVERVIEW

In 2024, we experienced remarkable growth and success in our financials. We saw a significant increase in grants, individual donors, and community support, enabling us to serve more individuals than ever before. Despite these expansions, we ended the year in a financially stable position, with surplus funds earmarked for reserves and future planning. We are immensely grateful for the support received and eagerly anticipate the opportunities that 2024 will bring.

2024 Highlights

Who we served

181 CLIENTS RECEIVED

MUSIC THERAPY IN 2024

with 6,949 hours of Music Therapy!

OUR COMMUNITY

believes in music therapy!

“[Therapist] has grown with Cole and her therapy has been as effective as medicine. If he is having an elevated day and he has music, she is the equivalent to medicine by way of regulation for him. The movement and regulation are also helpful for him to have body awareness to be able to use the restroom.”

“In addition to improving the quality and strength of my voice, I appreciate what I learn about how specific exercises affect my articulation. It's also heartening to experience ways singing can be fun and effective at the same time. Also it's refreshingly affirming to be instructed by professionals from different ethnic and racial backgrounds, who reflect the diversity of audience.”

“We love [therapist] and PHH. She has been a vital component in our son's growth. She listens to our concerns and utilizes a variety of techniques to assist Elisha. If he is having sensory overload during a session, she will implement the necessary therapeutic elements to provide the input he needs. Elisha loves music and we are grateful that he can come to [therapist] at PHH and receive therapy with music to assist in his personal and educational development.”

What we will do

OUR VISION

With these achievements in 2024, Perfect Harmony Health is well-positioned to build on its successes in the coming year. The focus will be on strengthening organizational management, HR, education launch, family support resources, volunteer management, expanding corporate sponsorships, establishing new relationships with family foundations and individual donors participation in the Voila Ball, and preparing for a capital campaign to ensure sustainable growth.
