Programs at GiGi’s Playhouse Atlanta address the developmental needs of children with T21/Down syndrome, including the areas of gross motor, fine motor, intellectual, social, and communication development. Programs at GiGi’s Playhouse Atlanta address the developmental needs of children with T21/Down syndrome, including the areas of gross motor, fine motor, intellectual, social, and communication development. The "Roswell Players" Performing Arts Group creates community and facilitates individual growth by learning about music, movement, and acting through social games and interactions, improvisation, and the expressive arts. Each year culminates in a staged performance showcasing each and every participant! The class is taught by licensed and board-certified music therapists with extensive training in musical theatre performance. Our therapists work to achieve a multitude of objectives for teens and young adults with disabilities such as:

Music is processed in both hemispheres of the brain. Music has the ability to stimulate cognitive functioning and may be used for the remediation of some speech/language skills. Therapy is provided at Gigi’s Playhouse in Alpharetta.
GiGi’s Playhouse Atlanta is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization funded solely by donations, dedicated to providing free therapeutic programming, resources, and support to families of individuals with T21/ Trisomy 21/Down syndrome. Programs at GiGi’s Playhouse Atlanta address the developmental needs of children with T21/Down syndrome, including the areas of gross motor, fine motor, intellectual, social, and communication development. The earlier aggressive therapeutic interventions take place in these areas, the greater the possibility that GiGi’s participants will achieve a more independent life.

Groovin' with Grandfriends - Roswell
"Groovin' with Grandfriends" is a FREE unique, intergenerational music therapy program where seniors and our local kiddos unite to share music's joy and forge lasting connections. Thanks to the kindness of donors, this program is FREE and requires no registration! Drop in any week to experience the joy of music, led by a board-certified music therapist from Perfect Harmony Health.
In this program, we experience the magic of harmonizing generations, promoting emotional well-being, reducing stress, and building friendships beyond the music room.

Mini Melodies at Gigi's Playhouse
Every Tuesday morning, tap into your inner rock star where every voice shines! Music supports the increase of self-confidence, social skills, communication and motor skills. This program is for children ages 0-5 years old diagnosed with Down Syndrome.
This class works on age-appropriate developmental goals while using music. Participants will sing, play instruments, dance, & more! Plus, this class is designed to be fully inclusive, inviting all children to make music together no matter their differences!
